Gordonstoun is home to students from a wide range of countries with a diversity in culture and background. Our boarding houses go beyond the 'just being looked after' and provide a rich and caring environment where the development of the individual is paramount.
Full Boarding: A Home From Home
Gordonstoun’s full boarding is more than just living on campus, it should become a "home from home" experience. Students live together 7 days a week throughout the term, sharing rich experiences with peers from around the world while respecting diverse cultures.
Dedicated houseparents and specialised staff live in each house, providing strong pastoral care and supporting an environment where children can learn from each other and from their experiences throughout the week. In this safe, family-like environment, our students will thrive; developing confidence and an independence. With engaging weekend activities, living together will build friendships that will last beyond school and a network for the future.
Boarding House Life
Our boarding houses have been designed with the students at the heart of the plan. Houses will feature rooms of 2 or 4, each with a study space and room to store clothes for the term. Houses have central points for relaxation, small kitchens to keep snacks and drinks and are next door to the Dining Hall, where all meals will be taken together as a community.
