Seamless Academic Transition
Transitioning from a local school system to an international school can present unique challenges, equally, moving from a different international system can be daunting.
At Gordonstoun Japan, we understand this and we hope to provide a comprehensive admissions support. Staff will be happy to talk through the requirements for you child, but they may include:
- A specialised EAL programme to help your son or daughter adapt quickly to English-medium instruction
- Academic compatibility will be discussed with experienced teaching staff through the process of admission
- Holistic evaluation: No prior experience in an international curriculum is required. We evaluate the whole child - their character, curiosity, and potential.
The Mid-Year Transfer Pathway
Celebrate your Grade 6 or Grade 9 graduation in March and transition seamlessly to Gordonstoun Japan from the Summer Term.
This specialized pathway is tailored specifically for Year 7 and Year 10 candidates. Instead of enrolling in another secondary school for only the brief April-to-July term, students can use this time to fast-track their English language skills and adapt to our British curriculum. It provides the ideal launchpad for success before full immersion.
