With a wider range of subjects at Sixth Form; we work with our students to select the right programme for their final two years where the preparation for university or onward careers, ultimately becomes a destination.

The traditional A level programme offers students an opportunity to delve deeply into their chosen subjects. Specialisation and focus draw a greater knowledge and yet, the same flexiblity in project based work remains, with the standard of independent study suiting the development of university skills well. Careers and University Advice
Preparation for life beyond school is a key component of Sixth Form life and we appreciate that routes ae very individual. Our programme is designed to give students both the academic depth and practical readiness for univerisity applications. Alongside rigorous classroom teaching, students are encouraged to think broadly, with an intellectual curiousity which will continue beyond Year 13. Structured guidance on global university application is provided, tailored to the individual. Our unique philosophy results in students leaving school not only with strong grades and subject knowledge, but with confidence, independance and interpersonal skils which universities value.
Sport, Music, Art and Drama
Engaging in sports, music and the creative arts is an outstanding way in which to balance lives of the young; a healthy body, mind and spirit are essential in development of rounded students. Physical movement will remain a key part of student life and developing skills into strong sporting prowess will be possible across a number of sports. From rockclimbing to golf, football to swimming - students will have an exposure to a wide range of activity and an opportunity to follow sporting preferences and strengths more fully.
The creative and performing arts have for centuries, developed creativity, imaginations and set fire to new passions and hobbies. The chance to learn an instrument, sing in the choir, audition for the latest performance or perhaps all three, will be available to the school community.
English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Dedicated EAL specialists provide tailored support in small groups. From assisting with IGCSE and A level studies to preparing for IELTS for university entry, we nurture the skills and confidence for English fluency.

| Aligning our curriculum with Scotland will enable our students to participate in exchange programmes that are not solely linked to our sister school in Scotland. Internationalism is an important feature and students will have opportunities to travel and learn around the world. |
